Since I have started Blogging, I have come to realize the impact that we as Bloggers have on our readers. It can be a powerful influence and one that can always help benefit others in their times of need.

Given the current economic status that we are presently in, many families are going without this year. I myself have a small Christmas planned and I am trying to teach my children the importance of Giving, not just receiving this year.

As I was looking for a charity to promote, I came upon Amy @ MomAdvice and her efforts on Hosting “The Big Give” in helping raise the necessities that her Local Shelter desperately needs. I decided that I would help her and have since partnered with her to help get the word out and get some Sponsors to help Sponsor this Worthy Cause!

My idea is this:

For each Sponsor that we have, they will donate $.10 for every comment on this post! The sponsors have set their limits of course so all Me & Amy are asking you to do to help, is to PLEASE leave a comment and help get the word out!

We will also be accepting PayPal donations on SS from our readers in case they too would like to get involved. All proceeds are going to The Shelter in Amy’s Hometown.

If you are looking to pledge and would like to Sponsor SS in our efforts with a donation, please contact me by email. All companies that Help Support this cause will be given Proper Recognition on Amy’s Site as well as SisterlySavings:

We will include and publicize any business that contributes to The Give give through our website and blog, along with a special shout-out on The Mother Loot for the entire month of January. It will be the first entry that anyone sees for that whole month and it will say, “Thank You to these Powerful Companies.”

In addition, if you are a blogger who can share about our efforts on your blog or if you can contribute in your hometown and dedicate an entry to us, we will thank you in a blog entry for making your own charitable efforts.

We are looking to make this a huge success for these families sake that otherwise will not have a Christmas and I hope that you will help join us this Holiday Season and share in the Spirit of Giving!
