This year, value is on every parent’s mind as they think about back-to-school shopping. But you don’t have to miss out on great designer clothes to get the best deals!
A great back to school tip is to stay away from pricey department stores and overwhelming malls which can put a strain on any parent’s budget.
And did you know that you can find the same high quality, designer clothing at stores like T.J.Maxx & Marshall’s on a budget? The truth is, at T.J. Maxx & Marshall’s , you can find prices up to 60% less for the same pricey tags found at department stores!
You won’t just find great cloth
ing either. There is something for everyone on your back to school list. Looking for something special for a dorm room? In housewares your sure to find inexpensive but fabulous decor for way less including bedding and towels.
You’ll also be doing double duty this year when you shop at T.J. Maxx or Marshall’s! This year, T.J. Maxx and Marshall’s is celebrating 25 years of partnership with a Back To School Program called Save the Children: Celebrating 25 years of Partnership
By shopping at T.J. Maxx this season, you can help send children in need in the U.S. back-to-school with the basics they need!
Beginning August 3rd, special edition reusable shopping bags featuring Save the Children children’s artwork will be available for purchase at T.J. Maxx for $0.99.
For each bag purchased, T.J. Maxx will donate one basic item, such as socks, underwear and backpacks, to Save the Children’s U.S. Programs (up to 25,000 items, while supplies last).

Good Luck!

My best tip is to buy some basics at the end of the season. You’ll spend a lot less money and the kids can wear the short-sleeve t-shirts under (or over) long-sleeve shirts to create extra layers in the winter time.

Shop the dollar stores for school supplies. Check out the clearance section at the office supply stores (many great deals).
LOVE TJ Max- we do lots of school shopping there!
I LOVE shopping at tjmaxx and Marshalls. I like to shop the clearance section to get even better deals. You can find a $200 designer piece for only $10. Lately I’ve stocked up on $7 clearance shoes. A girl can never have enough shoes!
It doesn’t help anybody now, but I think the best advice I’ve ever received is to buy them throughout the year as they go on sale or as you find good deals.

My best tip is to buy clothes out-of-season, and to always buy classic looks. Solids and jeans will never go out of style! I’ve had to make minimal changes to my own wardrobe in the past 8 years just by following that tip.
JC Penney has a rebate equal to or greater than your tax amount until August 15th, 2009. Plus they have 50% -75 % discounts on almost everything in the store, and weekly coupons and rebates online and in their weekly store flyer.
Last weekend I bought very good quality shirts and pants priced at $24.00 to $32.00 for as little as $5.00 to $9.00. All the school uniforms polos were $5.00 to $6.00 and the pants $8.00 or $9.00. Also great deals on kids shoes:name brands from $40.00 to $55.00 I ended up paying $15.00 to $25.00 after all their discounts and tax rebate. I also bought name brand clearance items priced at $6.99 to $14.00 for $2.00 to $6.00 (Girls Sketchers cali sandals: $5.88)
Next weekend I am going to Marshalls and TJ Max!!!
Hitting up the yard sales heavy to get all those back to school clothes & deals!
If you have boys and girls my tip is to take them school shopping on seperate days. It makes it easier to focus.

I buy a year in advance when things are on sale.
I always stock up on the notebooks when they are super cheap along with pens and pencils. My bf is in school and the little one isn’t old enough yet but we have a fully stocked supply of school stuff and leftovers for when he starts. Also shop at thrift stores! kids go through clothes so fast anyway, i’ve found many brand new things before. I also get basic t shirts and buy iron on transfer sheets, get free ones online and you have a unique shirt that none of the other kids have!
My back to school tip is to purchase items as soon as I can then I get supplies as soon as his supply list comes out. Once back to school time is over and those items go on clearance in the stores I go back and get those extra supplies that I know will need to be replaced through out the school year.
Thanks for having this giveaway!
