While many may think you have to spend a lot of money for Christmas Gifts, I am am here to tell you that being frugal can really pay off and you don’t have to spend a lot of money to get a perfect gift for someone. With a little effort on your part and some careful planning, you actually can have an almost Free Christmas!
This year, with me being laid off from work, it was more important to me to plan earlier because money is tight. And so far, we have quite a few gifts that haven’t cost me anything or were pretty inexpensive.
Here is what I have so far for gifts this year:
Nintendo Wii, which I got totally free thanks to Swagbucks & Amazon.com
$10 Starbucks Giftcard from participating in a survey from Shespeaks.com
(2) $10 Starbucks Giftcards that I got from Swagbucks in the Swagstore
(2) $10 Target Giftcards from a $1 Trial Pay Offer (I LOVE these offers!!)
A Coffeemaker, Stainless Steel Scoop and 2 pkgs of coffee from Gevallia for only $9.95 ($108 Value)
3 Lipglosses, 1 Bodywash, 1 Lotion and 2 Deodorants from Avon’s Clearance section for only $6.08. This will be put in a makeup bag for my teen daughter who loves Avon.
$10 Barnes & Noble Giftcard that I only paid $3.60 for from ShopatHome.com.
To date, I have gotten $397 worth of stuff and paid only $20.63! So far , this will be the my most frugal christmas yet!! I still have a few other gifts and giftcards in the works, but haven’t received those yet so I didn’t count them in.
So is it possible to have a Free Christmas? Not totally Free, but very inexpensive, yes. With a little planning, really scouting the deals (and of course reading SisterlySavings, lol) and an early start you’ll definately save big!
Now, I would like to know what everyone else has gotten so far for their Christmas presents for cheap or free !! Leave a comment below so you can help inspire others this Holiday Season!!
