I have some terrible news to share with you all. If you have been saving your Swagbucks to use for Christmas, unfortunately you will now be limited to only redeeming (5) gifts in a month!

When we were all working hard to save up our Swagbucks for Christmas, I think this is very unfair of them to implement this rule. Don’t they know that we were counting on these? I am just fortunate enough to have redeemed $80 in Amazon.com GC (which arrived late in my account ) and  has brought my total to Amazon.com Giftcards to a $210, which I am planning to buy the girls a Wii for Christmas. I have been steadily redeeming my Swagbucks since the beginning of October just for this, and I am glad that I did!

So while I say Thank you to Swagbucks for getting us a Free Wii, I think it’s a little unfair to pull a trick like this so close to the Holidays and I hope that you will change your mind and revert back to the old rule!

*Update from Lori at Moms By Heart:

I’ve since learned that the rule seems to be limit five per prize type. So you can get 5 amazon gcs and then 5 target gcs and so on. Still foils my Christmas plans but not as bad as I originally thought. Thanks for the link!

(Thanks to Moms By Heart for the update!!)

That’s a bummer… but hopefully it will work out for everyone. I’m glad I don’t have that much saved so I won’t have to think too hard about it. LOL … Thanks for the head’s up though.

I also redeem as soon as I get 45 lol. I had a feeling … it kindda sucks Specially for those that have 2000 plus saved it’s really sad :( but better than nothing! I’ll take it!

It’s not so bad – they have added a $25 Amazon e-certificate code and a $50 Amazon e-certificate code. You can redeem 5 of each price, so that makes $400 possible with Amazon each month instead of the $300 or $310 we used to be able to do!

Hi Nicole!

Thanks for leaving your comment but actually, with the $25 Amazon GC, its now 315 Swagbucks, for that amount, you could get (7) $5 Amazon.com GC for a total of $35, so you are actually losing out on $10.
On the $50 Amazon.com GC, you are losing out on $15 because for 590 Swagbucks, you technically could have gotten (13) $5 GC for $65 instead of the $50 they are offering.

And as long as they limit us to only 5 per gift item, they figure we would go for the higher priced GC!
