Back in January, I posted about a Free $10 gift card offer when you referred 10 friends/family members to sign up for the CheapToday.com eNewsletter. Since then, I have recieved my gift card (I chose Target!) and as I was browsing their site today, I noticed another offer!

I’ve written several posts on how you can get a Free $10 Target gift card when you sign up for the CheapToday.com eNewsletter and I’ve gotten quite a few responses so I wanted to address the latest question that was asked by reader Donna to keep everyone informed just in case you have the same question:

Great question Donna and one that certainly needs addressing!!  My post for Refer 10 Friends, Get Free $10 Target, Macy’s or Kohl’s Giftcard! was originally posted on 1/28/10. By 1/29, I had reached my 10 referrals.

On 2/4, I received an email from CheapToday with the subject title “Congrats from CheapToday” and here is what the email stated:

Hi Jennifer,

Congratulations! You’re the first winner of a $10 gift card in our “Refer a Friend” program – ALL of your ten friends signed up to receive the free CheapToday newsletter!

Please let me know your preference of a Macy’s, Target or Kohl’s gift card, and provide your mailing address. Your gift card will arrive in the mail shortly!

Thanks so much for entering and happy shopping

On 2/27, I received my gift card to Target. All in all the process took about 3 weeks. I do want to note that you should be receiving refer-a-friend updates as each referral sign ups. This will alert you with how many people signed up through your referral and how many more you need to reach the $10 gift card status.

Now if it’s been OVER 2 weeks that you have gotten all your referrals and you still have not heard from them, I would send an email kindly inquiring about your status. I am sure that they are pretty busy with the refer-a-friend program and perhaps it may take a little longer as more sign ups occur? Who knows, but the best way to find out is to inquire!
